Namaste.
We had such a wonderful response to our Yoga in the Park last Tuesday evening and Thursday morning that we are doing it again this week.
It is hard to explain the feeling of practicing outside. The fresh air, the connection to the earth, the sounds and smells all become a part of you, which is so different to when we are in the studio where we are trying to block out these things. We had kids playing on the playground nearby, boys playing football, people riding their bikes along the path, a dog investigating what we were up to (he ran around the whole circle making sure he greeted everyone), it was all part of it, part of connecting to that which is greater than you.

Beautiful Trees
One part that I loved on Tuesday night was when we did Vrksasana (tree pose). It was a little breezy and I talked about allowing the body to be a part of that and it was the most wonderful sight – every single person was connected and elegantly swaying with the breeze – just like trees, like they could have stayed there forever. It looked so beautiful.
On Tuesday evening, Ben (n8Health Chiropractor) came with his wife and small children and it was so joyful to watch them practicing Yoga together. It reminded me of my kids when they were little and used to climb all over me when I practiced at home.
Yoga is not about the perfect posture or the silence, it is the connection to everything around you and this is surprisingly much easier to do outside with what would seem more distractions than it is to do inside.
Thursday morning was wonderful and invigorating. A little chilly but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the freshness of the morning, and as the sun came up over the trees we felt its warmth on our skin and the rising warmth within us as well.

We started with a few layers on Thursday morning but it didn't take us long to start discarding them.
We hope you can make it this week. It promises to be much warmer on Thursday morning!

With Love.
