Namaste.

Circle of Joy is a lovely vinyasa focusing on the upper body - arms, shoulders, chest, upper back and neck. Great if you work on a computer, drive or spend a good part of your day bending forward (and let's face it, who doesn't?).

It is my first attempt at video, let me know what you think and if it was even remotely useful.

Connect into the breath, really feel the movement of the breath and allow the breath to guide you. Encase each movement inside each breath, ie: begin the breath, begin the movement, end the movement, end the breath, then pause the movement as you rest in the natural pauses inbetween each breath.

Enjoy.

With Love.

Re: Circle of Joy Vinyasa - Video

Thanks for your lovely comment Tam. I am pleased you are doing it. It is the very first thing we teach the intro people as it is sooo great for our current lifestyle, a lot of which is spent in front of a computer.

With love.

Re: Circle of Joy Vinyasa - Video

Serendipity. I was just feeling tense from correcting some essays when I opened your Circle of Joy video. The sequence allowed me to open up my shoulders and be reinvigorated to continue with my correction. I think I need to teach my Year 10 students this sequence. Thanks Gina for posting the video on line... I am impressed.

Re: Circle of Joy Vinyasa - Video

Thanks for commenting Carolyn. I am really pleased it worked for you. As well as opening the upper body I think it also opens up space for the breath bringing fresh oxygen to the brain, therefore invigorating the whole body. And definintely teach it to the year 10s. It is terrific for their lifestyle of being bent over computers and phones.

With Love.

Re: Circle of Joy Vinyasa - Video

Thank you Gina! I was reminded so effortlessly of last night's class. What a great way to recap my 'homework'. Very clear and succinct. Thank you sooooooo much for making this available on line.
