This is a gorgeous vinyasa for opening into the upper body creating space, awareness and ease.

Here is another of my favourite vinyasas. The Windmill, which my friend Jennie showed my a few years ago.

Regular students will be very familar with this lovely rhythmic sequence.

I have just returned from a terrific 5 day workshop with Donna Farhi.

This vinyasa is a lovely moving meditation. It is terrific for bringing awareness and the breath into the whole body.

Circle of Joy is a lovely vinyasa focusing on the upper body - arms, shoulders, chest, upper back and neck. Great if you work on a computer, drive or spend a good part of your day bending forward (and let's face it, who doesn't?).

It is a perfect winter's day here in Bendigo to celebrate the winter solstice. Perfect as in cold and raining - it is what winter should be whether we like it or not.

A time to curl up in your favourite jumper with your favourite blanket and rest.

I am thrilled to be able to republish this terrific article about my mentor, Leigh Blashki, and his development of the Anguli Mudra Kriya. A kriya is a guided or directed practice.

This article was written for Enlightened Events by Brook McCarthy of Yoga Reach, and is reproduced here by kind permission from Brook and Enlightened Events.

I spent the end of 2011 on retreat in the mountains at the Maitripa Centre, a Buddhist Contemplative Retreat Centre, a few kms out of beautiful Healesville.

This time of the year can be quite intense physically and emotionally. Taking some time out to consciously breathe can have a huge benefit.

I spent the past weekend on retreat in Stroud, about an hour’s north of Newcastle, at The Hermitage, a Anglican Franciscan Monastery.

The first day of spring is one of my favourites. Even if it isn't sunny and warm as it is today, there is a sense that it soon will be.
