I am fresh back for a wonderful retreat in Bali. I have been travelling to Bali for yoga retreats for more than 10 years. But this past June was the first retreat I have lead as the teacher on this gorgeous island. The beauty of Bali is more than its warm weather, greenery and food. The culture of the Balinese people is fully embedded in everything they do, everyday. The streets are lined with daily offerings, their houses are all built aligned in a particular direction to achieve harmony with the universe, and there is such deep respect for family and the elderly.
There was 13 of us at the beautiful Dragonfly Village. Each day started with meditation, pranayama and asana, then a sumptuous breakfast before heading back to the shala for iRest yoga nidra. Our afternoons were free to explore and then our final session for the day was restorative, chanting and meditation.
Retreat is more than a holiday. It are an opportunity for growth and deepen our understand of ourselves, we just happen to do this in paradise!
Here is some feedback we have received since returning:
"I want to thank you and David for the most wonderful time I had on the Bali retreat. Everything about it was perfect." -- SH
"I didn't get a chance to say a big thank you, to you (and David) for organising and running the wonderful Bali Yoga Retreat ... I wanted to say how grateful I was to you, David and the group for being so friendly and inspiring. It was definitely worth being 'disturbed' and I think, 'changed'." --MH
"Hi Gina and David, I am trying really hard to resurface after such a wonderful retreat - attempting to embrace the freezing weather etc etc! And where is the cut up fruit and pancakes at breakfast?!! Seriously though, just wanted to thank you both for a fantastic experience. I got so much out of it and have many special memories. Congrats on a really well run and successful retreat." --JL
Next year we are heading to Fiji. Registrations will open for that soon, but if you are interested, let me know with a quick email: firstname.lastname@example.org
