It's all about George

By Guest Writer Kate Watts

Life has been really challenging moving everything on line, and there is a feeling of the computer and technology becoming my Master. I teacher on line, teacher yoga on line and even do dog training on line and some days I feel completely overwhelmed by this Master. Not only does he zap my emotional energy but he creates aches deep in my body.

However compared to other people, the interruption of COVID 19 in my life is minimal and I consciously  flip my thinking and see that COVID has brought me some gifts. Each day I make sure that I watch the sun come up, usually on my bike, observing the unveiling of a new day and unlimited potential. And I embrace gratitude of the opportunity to be in nature, to be part of the newness of the day. After a day with my Master I walk and watch the sun go down in all its brilliant and spectacular shades of colour. And again with gratitude I am thankful for the things in my life - my health, my family, my friends and the ability to move my body freely. These book ends to my day keep me optimistic, grateful, compassionate and full of love.

Yoga plays an essential part in bringing  me to this place of compassion and grace and I go to my mat each day, sometimes to sit and sometimes to move and I leave the mat feeling joy.

I have also been so lucky to welcome George into my world and he is delightful and curious and joyful and I am completely in love.
