Learning to meditate is one of the best forms of self-care that we can give ourselves. It has some great benefits for our mental health and physical health which, when practised consistently, leads to an increased sense of clarity and wellbeing. Meditation may help you to gain greater balance in your daily living, help to reduce stress and to become more present and focused.
This workshop will be a great opportunity to explore and strengthen your meditation muscle and you'll be able to ask questions and learn from others in a supported manner. All levels and experiences are welcome, whether you're a beginner or a more seasoned meditator.
This discovery workshop is based on a mind-body approach and introduces mindfulness in an accessible and practical format. It provides tools to train our attention to be fully engaged in each moment in our life. Some of the techniques used include body scan, mindfulness meditation and breathing practice.
You can choose to sit in any comfortable position that suits you.
Nina Hakamies, our trained mindfulness teacher, will be facilitating the workshop. Everyone is welcome, there are no prerequisites.
